Coaching is a way of discovering an individual’s unique combination of strengths, skills and qualities and leveraging and developing these to help them reach and sustain peak performance in their professional and personal lives.

Approach

During her coaching engagements, Helen employs a range of psychological models, together with knowledge from the fields of neuroscience and emotional intelligence. She believes this assists leaders to better understand their own performance enablers and blockers and those of the people they lead. However, she takes a very tailored approach with her clients, recognising the uniqueness of their personalities, experience and organisational cultures within which they operate, and she adapts her coaching methodology accordingly. She has a strong focus on building trust and rapport throughout her coaching engagements to create a safe space for her clients to explore, learn and develop.

Leadership Development, Coaching & Consulting Experience

Helen has gained a wealth of human resource experience and in her corporate Learning & Development roles, she was responsible for the design and implementation of performance management systems and procedures, leadership development programmes, group and executive level 1:1 coaching and training programmes ranging from cultural intelligence to team cohesiveness.

Helen is trained in the use of a number of psychometric tools and often uses these, together with 360-degree feedback, to help individuals increase their self-awareness, confidence and motivation. Helen’s engaging disposition and effective communication skills have been particularly beneficial during her time in the Middle East region when working with different cultures in a multi-national environment.

Helen is currently working across a number of industries, focusing on 1:1 executive coaching, small group facilitation, psychometric assessments and leadership development centres. She holds a particular interest in coaching individuals through career transitions, including those stepping up the leadership ladder, as well as supporting the development of coaching skills for existing leaders.

Helen has coached at C-suite, middle management and young talent level in a range of industries including aviation, professional services, government, oil and gas, construction and higher education.

  • Honours degree in International Management
  • ILM Diploma in Management Coaching and Mentoring
  • Results Certified Coach with the Neuroleadership Institute
  • ACC (Associate Certified Coach) with the ICF (International Coaching Federation)
  • Member of the British Psychological Society – Qualified at levels A&B in the use of psychometrics
