Ulrich loves to help and to inspire individuals, teams and organisations to grow. A first step is often to see and reflect the status quo from a new perspective with a new depth, which is generated in coaching conversations with teams and individuals. The next step is to turn this new understanding into reality by helping clients and teams to discover different approaches and solutions. Finally, a new approach only helps if it is implemented thoroughly. Ulrich therefore places great emphasis on helping individuals, teams and organisations to implement change and to create sustainable long-term business value.
Ulrich’s work is based on strong analytical skills in psychological and leadership topics and deep practical business knowledge deriving from his former career as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. His Ph.D in decision making allows him to help individuals and organisations to define and implement the right decisions.
Leadership Development, Coaching & Consulting Experience
Ulrich is a partner of TPC Leadership and has more than 15 years of experience in consulting, training and coaching in the field of leadership and people skills development. His approach blends elements from different philosophies and models including systemic coaching, transactional and positive psychology, Gestalt therapy and field experience.
As a leadership consultant and coach, he has collaborated in Germany and abroad with public and private organisations, primarily in working with managers, directors and C-levels from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, in sectors such as industrial goods, utilities, pharma, banking & insurance, education, and NGOs. He has more than 2000 hours of experience in group and individual coaching and more 1500 hours experience in training and workshops.
Ulrich loves to co-create leadership programmes with HR professionals and leaders, to find a customised solution for their specific needs.
Other Relevant Experience
Before working in coaching, training and leadership consulting, Ulrich worked for 9 years at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He started in the classical consulting track and became an expert in people and organisational topics. He worked on performance management systems, incentive systems, HR strategy and demographic risk management.
At the end of his career at BCG he changed roles and was responsible for coaching and training in Germany and Austria. During his time at BCG, he also acquired a Ph.D in economic psychology and gave lectures at different universities. In his research, he concentrated on how decision quality can be improved by overcoming cognitive biases.
