Ruth Sangale

Ruth’s many years of experience in leadership development means she has a good understanding of the context for leaders and what “good” looks like. Typical topics she coaches on are: sustaining high performance in a changing environment, stepping into a new role, clarifying career direction and vision, effective leadership and working in teams, work/life balance. She is passionate about coaching and designing leadership programmes that are creative and innovative and which achieve major shifts for individuals and teams. She also coaches on specialist programmes for people from different cultural backgrounds and women in leadership. Ruth’s style is nondirective, challenging, pragmatic and focuses on generating new ideas and insight using creative tools.

Ruth has 20 years’ HR experience in the public and private sector, specialising in the last 10 years in leadership development and executive coaching. In her most recent role in the National Health Service in the UK, Ruth was responsible for programme managing the delivery of a portfolio of Pan London Leadership, talent management and alumni programmes and was the lead for coaching and mentoring across London. More recently she has been working with UNICEF on team development in Afghanistan and Belize as well as coaching country leads around the globe. She is also working with PLAN International.

Her area of specialism is creativity and innovation and she uses different tools and facilitation methods to help clients develop this skill to enhance their impact.

Outside work Ruth is a facilitator on an international emerging leaders programme for a charity affiliated with the United Nations and delivers this in Italy, Brazil, India and Kenya.
