Approach
David has 20 years of international experience as a facilitator, executive coach, and training consultant. A former lawyer, theatre producer, actor and feature film marketeer, his approach is to take conversations to a level where behavioural change happens because of insight and personal accountability. His clients appreciate his capacity to connect and empathise, pick up on what is not said and create a space for deep self-reflection. This allows his clients to have breakthroughs in dealing with challenges in how they communicate and approach situations.

David specialises in leadership, equity, diversity & inclusion, bias, people management, , communication skills and executive coaching. His coaching clients work across a wide range of industries including law, management consulting, oil & gas, philanthropy/non-profit and entertainment.
As a workshop facilitator he has worked extensively in professional services including, banking (i.e. Deutsche Bank, HSCB, Goldman Sachs), accounting/consulting (i.e. Accenture, BCG, KPMG, Deloitte) and law (i.e. Freshfields/ CMS/Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom/ Weil, Gotshal & Manges/ Debevoise & Plimpton and Paul Hastings to name a few), as well pharmaceutical companies, and public sector organisations (European Court of Human Rights, the UK Civil Service, the UK Media Regulator Ofcom and various UK City Councils), the non-profit sector (global philanthropy the Open Societies Foundation (OSF)), oil and gas (BP), infrastructure engineering (Network Rail in the UK) and the health sector (Royal College of Psychiatrists in the UK).
Other Relevant Experience
David started his career as a lawyer in Germany in the late 90s. As part of his 2-year postgraduate professional legal training he worked in several organisations: the European Commission in Brussels, the German Embassy in London, corporate law firm “Gleiss Lutz” in Frankfurt, the Higher Civil District Court in Frankfurt (dealing with Intellectual Property Disputes) and the Prosecutors Office in Frankfurt, Germany. After leaving the law, he co-produced the South African musical “Kat and the Kings” on Broadway in 1999, held a marketing role in international feature film distribution with the European media network RTL-Group, and worked as an actor in Germany, London, and Brazil. He spent 7 years as a training consultant and account director at the international learning and development consultancy “Steps Drama” in London before setting up his own business in 2012. He has lived in Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Brazil, and the U.S.A.
