Christina Lombardi Somaschini
Associate
Italy
“My work is based on the belief that we can drive change only if we start from an understanding of our current reality. I support my clients in cultivating their ability to take full responsibility for situations and to create from what is happening in the here and now. We focus on the necessary inner work that enables leaders to engage meaningfully and pragmatically at all times.”
Approach
Christina is known for her playful candor, her humanity, and her ability to bring to light the beliefs that prevent clients from being fully present and authentic. She has cultivated a sensitive ear for her clients’ stories, which she uses to reveal multiple perspectives and explore various courses of action. An ongoing process involves creating, together with the client, a development path tailored to the client’s systems and context, one that incorporates practices that will support continuous, self-directed growth.
Leadership Development, Coaching & Consulting Experience
Christina began her career twenty years ago on the trading floor of a London investment bank and has extensive experience working with leaders and leadership teams in various contexts and industries. Christina works with clients and colleagues around the world. As a facilitator, she has designed and delivered leadership development programs both independently and in collaboration with co-leaders and coaching teams. She trained and became certified through the Coaches Training Institute (now the Co-Active Training Institute) and is licensed to use the Harthill Leadership Development Profile. She has deepened her practice through the Co-Active Leadership Program, coaching on organizational relationship systems, Gestalt coaching, and somatic/“embodiment” work.
Other Relevant Experience
Christina provides pro bono coaching to young women leaders in the social justice sector through The Coaching Fellowship. She has also led workshops for fellow coaches through ICF Ticino, Harthill Ltd, and independently. Christina has appeared as a guest speaker on radio shows, podcasts, live events, and webinar panels. She remains committed to her own professional development and, since early 2020, has been studying with Margaret Wheatley and the Berkana Institute. In the cognitive sphere, she is engaged in ongoing training in Interpersonal Neurobiology and Dan Siegel’s MindSight.
