“I enjoy guiding each of my clients on a journey of self-discovery to achieve greater clarity, focus, self-confidence, and effectiveness—by stimulating curiosity, enhancing self-awareness, building strong relationships, and making a difference in the world.”
Approach
In her work on organizational change, personal development, and leadership development, Noeky keeps an eye on the system, the various stakeholders, and the individual. She uses empathy, active listening, and targeted questions to encourage deep reflection and reexamine thoughts and beliefs in order to get to the heart of the matter. She then works with clients to put new information, insights, tools, and skills into practice, based on a more holistic and authentic way of being and communicating.
Leadership Development, Coaching & Consulting Experience
Noeky has worked as an international consultant in human resources and L&D, a trainer and facilitator for over 20 years, and as a coach. Recently, she has guided leaders and professionals from around the world as a trainer and coach in leadership development, interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict management. She was in charge of leadership development projects at a major United Nations organization for seven years, managing a coaching program for leaders and designing and managing interactive, online, and multilingual leadership development programs. Prior to that, she worked at another international organization on learning programs, HR projects, and change management initiatives, such as updating the organizational competency framework and implementing HR systems. She has facilitated a variety of workshops and international meetings throughout her career. Her extensive experience in the development and humanitarian sectors, combined with her personal and professional journey around the world, gives her intercultural sensitivity and deep empathy for the people she works with.
Other Relevant Experience
Noeky began her career as a rural development sociologist, working on community development, gender issues, and natural resource management. She used participatory approaches to identify the needs of diverse groups (women, youth, and low-literacy groups), collaborated with various stakeholders to implement projects, and worked on capacity building and training for national and international staff. She has worked in the Netherlands, Cape Verde, Ecuador, and Burkina Faso, and frequently traveled to West Africa to support a large-scale project while based in Rome, Italy. Noeky grew up in Suriname, Pakistan, and Kenya.
