Christina Lombardi Somaschini
“My work is founded on the belief that we can only drive change and transformation by understanding our present-day reality and working from there. I support my clients to cultivate their capacity to take full ownership of a situation and to create from what is, right here and now; to do their inner work, so they can engage meaningfully and pragmatically.”.
Approach
Christina is known for her playful directness, humour and warmth, and her skill in gently exploring the things that get in the way of clients being able to be fully present and authentic. She is very intuitive and responsive to clients’ narratives, taking them through the analytical and emotional deconstruction of those stories so that more perspectives can be revealed, shifting clients’ meaning-making and clearing clients’ paths in their transformation.
An ongoing process is crafting a systems- and context-aware developmental journey together with the client and creating practices that will support their ongoing growth beyond the coaching engagement. Her supervision and own ongoing development are key to the depth of her work, so it is always ethical and bounded.
Leadership Development, Coaching & Consulting Experience
Christina began her career twenty years ago on the trading floor of a London investment bank, and has a wide range of experience of working with leaders and leadership teams in global companies and family-owned or partner-led realities. She also has experience helping companies transition from family-owned to being part of a global company. Christina works with clients and colleagues all over the world. As a facilitator she has designed and delivered leadership development programs alone as well as with co-leaders and with teams of coaches. She trained and certified with the Coaches Training Institute (now Co-Active Training Institute) and is authorised in Harthill’s Leadership Development Profile. She has deepened her practice with the Co-Active Leadership Program, Organizational Relationship Systems Coaching, Gestalt coaching, and somatic/embodiment work.
Other Relevant Experience
Christina coaches young women leaders in the social justice sector pro bono through The Coaching Fellowship. She has also run workshops for fellow coaches through ICF Ticino, Harthill Ltd and independently. Christina has appeared as a guest speaker for radio, podcasts, live events and webinar panels. She remains dedicated to her own development and since early 2020 has been studying with Margaret Wheatley and the Berkana Institute, in addition to ongoing training in Dan Siegel’s Interpersonal Neurobiology and MindSight.
