Viveka is a Leadership and Organisational Development Consultant and Coach with over 30 years’ experience working across the corporate and public sector in over 50 countries.  Swedish born Viveka thrives in challenging international environments and delivers tailored, organisational transformation programmes, including sustainability and diversity programmes. Viveka actively promotes performance driven cultures in Europe, Middle East and Asia, developing leaders, through executive and team coaching, and customised training. She specialises in sustainable leadership, CSR, ethics, gender equality, discrimination, human rights, ISO 26000, UN Guiding Principles (UNGP), OECD due-diligence, UN SDSN SDGs.

Leadership Development & Consulting Experience

Viveka holds a special passion for the Middle East with 25 years of experience from across the region (Bahrain, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey UAE). Viveka is a specialist on topics key to the MENA region; multi-cultural teams, nationalisation in the Gulf, operational efficiency & governance in Egypt, health & safety, diversity and gender, growth and development of family businesses.  Viveka holds a master’s in Middle Eastern Studies and multiple degrees: Business & Economics, Middle Eastern Studies, Social Anthropology and Arabic. Her portfolio has been further enhanced by her application of tools on organisational culture, cross-cultural assessment, training and mediation. She has adapted organisational and leadership assessment tools to suit the cultural context of the Middle East.

Other relevant experience

Before starting her consultancy business Viveka held senior positions in the Telecoms industry.

Viveka has published articles and papers on topics related to leadership and organisational values in the Middle East and furthermore spoken on the topic at e.g. American University of Beirut, Middle Eastern Association, AWGE –Arab Women in the Gulf Economy and London School of International Communication. Viveka received an EU grant to support her work on cultural understanding between the EU and the Middle East. Furthermore, she was selected and sponsored by the Dubai government for a ‘women exchange programme’.
